Are you feeling anything this week? Has your emotional suitcase been splayed wide open? Are you finding yourself feeling uneasy, overwhelmed, and/or exhausted? Are you finding yourself using coping skills you KNOW don’t work?
This week has been a ride –and I don’t mean a lovely saunter down the back roads, I mean jagged turns, slamming on brakes and gunning the gas kind of ride.
I have to admit, I have a sense of foreboding, as if we are perched on the edge of a knife, to quote Tolkien. I keep savoring every damn good moment as if it’s my last time experiencing it. We are in a state of waiting …waiting for someone to finally step up and do something!
I don’t exactly know what to do, I’m free to go out and speak, reach out and protest, and I am at a standstill of what to choose to make movement towards, except shrieking out my prophecy:
Wake up to the children! This is their world, and we’re borrowing it! Let’s listen to what they think we should do!
Let’s get children as advisors in the Supreme Court and in Government positions because letting OLD, privileged people keep on doing what their ancestors did isn’t working!
We need change. Something’s gotta give.
